It is, for many reasons. Examples include:

Most Yu-Gi-Oh Cards (Holos) are worth more than Pokemon (Holos)
Yu-Gi-Oh packs are cheaper
Pokemon tins only come with 4 packs, Yugioh Comes with 5 and a Promo pack (As of now)

As a game, I think Pokémon is the better choice. There's more freedom in tournament play because not everyone rushes to play the next big meta deck that somebody just won a big premier event with and tournaments are a lot more relaxed because of it. So prices in the game are obviously going to be cheaper as opposed to YGO where everything gets overvalued just because a few people don't know when to put their wallet down.
